DRY DRY DRY
Looking around the place I do not see many acorns and in many places it looks like October. The leaves are gone off alot of the underbrush.I have been watering around the house area and I guess thats why I can look out any time of the day and see deer.I have at least 9 does hanging around and 7 have twins and they are all weaned now and loseing their spots. One doe has become a real character. When she sees the sprinker running she will come and stand in front of it .Real good crop of bucks but only one to write home about.Very fortunet that my springs are still dribling water so that keeps them coming back.As for the cattleman well from what I have seen over the years I have very little sympathy for them. They destroyed the land with bulldozers instead of using some common sense. For example one up the road had a 100 acres of timber that had 2 little valleys with small springs.Instead of developing the springs he went with a dozer and flattened everything.Did not even take the timber or sell it for firewood.Shoved it all in the valleys and burned it.Then went up on the hill to a flat spot and dug a pond.(duh) and now hes boo hooing it went dry..
