Another springtime and new babies

I like the springtime a lot when it comes to certain things like my deer and their new babies.I do not like all the weeds and grass cutting and those dam ticks and chiggers and those storms..like the ones we had last night.
My 3 main does as I call them had their fawns the first week of May or I should correct myself a little and say it was the first time I saw them.Does usually do not take the fawns with them until they can run pretty well..I know my does because they all have some sort of damage to their ears. The one called split ear is about 16 years old now and one with her is her fawn from 6 years ago..Good thing is they all had twins..I will not be seeing much of the fawns for awhile. It seems almost like the does bring their fawns up to show me what they have then hide them for the next 5 or 6 weeks..
Now if the MDC says the peak of breeding is November and a deer pregnancy  is 7 months then how come my deer have already had theirs..The MDC would not lie would they!!!!
Now do not forget we have a 4 month either sex mule deer season.Go up on the MDC web site and find out how many were killed...
