MDC still has its head up its ass

Its been awhile but the MDC has not seen fit to right some stupid wrongs.As usual they have regulations that say such as "you can not help or shoot a deer for anyone else hunting with you"

but the next thing that comes out of their mouth is"its OK to shoot 2 or 3 and give them to a total stranger who does not even have a hunting license"Sounds just like WAshington DC logic..

Then we have the one about "baiting an area"My first question is "whats the size of an area??

Then landowners like myself spend all year keeping up food plots and the MDC comes along and baits the area by planting brassicas and stuff on corp land to draw the deer over there and away from the land owners..I just wish landowners would completly close their land to all hunters except for family ONLY no friends paid hunters zero..Then maybe the MDC will wake up when their cash cow quits on them.Its always about money and corruption and the hell with the people.I have to say one thing though,that magazine they put out is the best looking piece of brainwashing material I have seen anywhere.

Then finally is the matter of the MDC letting poaching with dogs go on..Same old story.When someone catches them The MDC has told them all you have to do is tell them your dogs are lost.Why don,t you try that guys.Shoot something and when you get caught just say you are lost and see how that goes..Maybe if you bark a little you can convince them you are a dog..

The MDC has still not seen fit to closing the use of dogs during ALL deer hunting seasons.Bow hunters,muzzleloaders included.

Kick the old people in the ass

It seems someone has screwed up my blog and I just now found it again.Maybe the MDC can not stand the truth..Nothing in the new laws have changed for the better,just more complicated.Thats what happens when you let lawyers write something.It seems they have a hard time with the English language and its true meaning..

It seems now the SUPER KIDDIES now have a season almost half as long as the regular super short as always season.While you old worthless goats who have supported the MDC since it started get ZERO,NADA,ZIP,NOTHING.You think maybe the old folks might get something,but NOOOOO.

Its clear to me that the MDC will keep their communist ways going by getting these "6yr old babies brainwashed into their way of thinking..Why not--their 40 year old Fathers are doing it..

It will backfire like most states because those kids are starting too young and most will go play a computer game.

Get rid of those electronics and learn something

I am sitting here most likely like alot of people hoping this forever rain and thunder to stop.I already know it has ruined my food plots and my garden.You can bet that the few turkeys that are on eggs will have them ruined also,but it is early in the season and they will lay more hopefully..

They are one tough animal..I watch them sit on those brances only as thick as your thumb all thru this wind and lightning all night and come daylight there they are still on the branch..Then I look at myself and others and think"you know humans must have been that tough at one time and wonder how did they do that..I have much better insight than most people because I am old now so I talked to people born in the 1800,s.I always thoroghly enjoyed talking to the old folks..

Nowadays you are lucky if your own kids talk to you...I learned alot from my elders and would like to pass it on,but it seems if you do not have some piece of electronic hanging on you these kids are deaf and dumb....

I know where the beef is but where are my turkeys ???

Here it is Feburary and its still way below normal weather.It has been a strange winter at my place..Normally we have hen flocks of up to 30 and gobblers up to 20 and jakes in the 4 to 6 range.I have NOT seen a gobbler or Jake this winter ZERO.Only have 2 groups of hens 6 to 10.
We do have more young deer coming around,but the older bucks are a big zero..I have looked around the woods which comprise several hundred acres and I am not seeing hardly any places where the deer or turkey are digging for food.I am worried and confused to say the least.We did have a very bad running dogs problem for almost a year and I know critters will let themselves be chased a few times and then they go somewhere else to live..They are not any different than you or me..I don,t like being chased either.As usual the MDC was totally worthless and infact a big hinderance..They actually protect the criminals that own these dogs.

6 year old supermans

Well another very short Missouri rifle season is gone and once again the local rags are putting pictures of the superhuman 6 year olds who,s egotistical Dads say killed a 20 point buck at 300 yards with a 223.The one I liked the best was the 6 year old girl on TV channel 10 from Springfield MO whos Dad was bragging and then the 6 year girl blew him out of the water with the following statement.."my daddy held the gun while I shooted it"I guess me and many others morals and common sense standards are to high for those simple minded jackasses that try and teach a kid how to kill at 6 years old..I had this stupid idea of trying to teach my 6 year old how to read and write and good and bad..But what do expect from those morons when the MDC is promoting this crap under the guise of teaching kids early..Pure bullshit--They start this brainwashing with so called hunters ed.Pure "commies"the whole MDC.Lets get these kids thinking the MDC is always right-the MDC is there for your good-the MDC takes care of all the land and water-the MDC puts all the fish and deer and turkey on the land..
THE MDC IS NOT YOUR FRIEND IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM..
Afew years ago someone put an ad in a paper for 6-7-8 yr olds to win 500 dollars.All they had to do was bring their deer rifles and hit a paper plate at 25 yards 3 times.
Guess how much money was paid out.Not a penny.Only 5 morons with thier kids showed up..
The rifles and various ammunition were placed on the table and the KIDS were told to load and stand and fire at the paper plate..The 6 and 7 year olds could not read or understand what ammo went into their rifle.They did not even know their rifle when laying with the others.The 8 year old who thought he was so much smarter than the others jammed a shell of the wrong caliber so bad the rifle was taken home to be worked on..Point is people the MDC does not give a dam about really being safe and knowlegable or this would be included in a hunters ED class..They want that money as soon as they can get it no matter what age.....

Elk belong here cattle are the intuders

Its finale.The MDC is going ahead with its elk stocking program.I hope for the best for everyone,BUT knowing most game departments its all about MONEY..I will bet they will have some ridiculous type of hunt someday and once again will violate the constitution and try and charge the property owner to use their own land..
Going back to my work with Elk out west our problem was the Elk populations were getting smaller and the hunters had been trying to tell the bigwigs for years they knew the answer,but everytime the Game dept would come up with we do not have the funds.Absolute Bullshit ..
A group of hunters called their bluff in the Newspapers and said they would pay for the study.The claimed problem was the forest service and BLM and State needed to get the cattle out because they were eating the Elk out of house and home.What they did was run a 8 ft fence before the spring migration for miles where the elk and cattle would be separted..After 2 years the pictures were stunning..The side where only cattle had access looked like the aftermath of a nuculer attack..Vegetation,trees gone as high as one could reach water holes stomped shut and full of their crap and stunk to high heaven..The side where the Elk had access looked better than it did before the test and there were estimated almost twice as many Elk sometimes..The hunters had proved their case..Also in the study it was found that cattle eat as much as 10 times as Much as Elk sometimes and their droppings were about the same compared to what they ate.Also Elk and deer will almost never go wadeing and crapping in the water holes.They will stay around the edges.The cattle would go right into the springs and lay down,defecate,and the act of them walking would close the springs shut..Due to lawsuits from cattleman it was almost 20 years to get them out and much of the high country has still not come back to where it used to be..People seem to forget that ELK are the residents here and cattle are a foreign introduced species..

The rest of the story

As most people know who have half a brain know it is never the ones who are in command-the higher ups that know whats really going on.They are too busy playing politics..
Now going back to rest of the story on how this rancher stopped elk from knocking down his fences..As mentioned before this rancher discovered elk can't really jump like a deer can so rather than build higher fences (which is costly)he looked at the worn ruts in the ground left by the elk to see where they cross the most and for 50-60 feet he did the following..He actually lowered the top strand of wire 2 inches and replaced it with a strand with NO barbs for the elk to get hung on.Instead of fixing the wire tight to the post he just ran it thru a loop,and to keep it very tight there were some very strong springs on the end..I think you get the picture.The elk could clear the fence easy and if some did come down on the wire the springs would give and NO BARBS would not snag(or injure)the elk.On other places along his ranch he would simply open the fence when the elk migrated in spring and fall and put the cattles some where else for a few weeks..We went to some town meetings and told the people to give it a try and next year almost no calls..Also for informative purposes in the several decades with the elk there was never a fatality with a vechicle.There were a few wrecks and alot of them were caused by peoples dogs chasing the elk accross a road..
Now our next big-big problem had to be solved.The elk herds were declining -WHY
